English nowadays becomes the language of science, aviation, computers, diplomacy and tourism. Since the outbreak of COVID-19 is spreading everywhere, the intensity to communicate as well as to use technology is going increased. For an effective communication it requires the ability to profile good sentences conveying meaning. One factor which undeniably influences the language performance is grammar knowledge. As second language learners studying grammar is demanded because they do not have natural competence to construct English sentences well. The need of learning language structure brings the learners more confident to communicate English and to approach their foreign language because they are aware of avoiding errors and misunderstanding. Their language use can be more acceptable both in spoken and written language. The more they have a good grammar knowledge, the more their language can be understood through persistent rehearsal. Therefore, the learners need a wide-ranging reference to mastery the patterns of sentence in English. Understanding language should start from the basic components of grammar knowledge.
